Methodology
What We Look For
The Educational Experience signal provides insight into the academic credentials of the team, which can correlate with problem-solving ability and technical depth.
Evaluation Criteria:
- University or college attended by each team member
- Global ranking of the institution
- Field of study (technical fields weighted more for technical projects)
Scoring Approach:
- Use Webometrics Global Rankings to determine institution rank
- Calculate percentile position relative to all 31,718 ranked institutions
- Apply rubric based on top percentage
Research Instructions
Step 1: Find the Institution Ranking
Visit Webometrics Global Rankings and search for the team member's university or college.
Step 2: Calculate the Percentile
Use this formula to determine the top percentage: (Rank × 100) / 31,718
Note: 31,718 is the total number of ranked universities and colleges globally.

Finding Information
Step 1: Gather Educational Background
For each team member, collect:
- University or college name
- Degree earned (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD)
- Field of study
- Graduation year (optional)
Step 2: Look Up Institution Ranking
- Go to webometricsranking.com
- Search for the institution by name
- Note the global rank number
Step 3: Calculate Score
Use the formula above to calculate the percentile and assign the score.
Submitting Evidence
When submitting educational information:
For each team member:
- Institution name
- Link to institution's Webometrics page (if available)
- LinkedIn profile showing education
Verification sources:
- LinkedIn education section
- University alumni directory (if public)
- Professional bio or team page
