Cross-Chain Activity
Measures multi-chain deployment and bridge usage.
Methodology
What We Look For
Multi-chain presence indicates broader reach, resilience, and user accessibility.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Number of distinct chains with deployed contracts
- Activity level on each chain (TVL > $10k)
- Bridge usage for single-chain protocols
- User distribution across chains
What Counts as a Chain:
- Ethereum
- Layer 2s (Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, etc.)
- Alt L1s (Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, etc.)
- Testnets do NOT count
Data Sources:
- DeFiLlama
- Block explorers for each chain
- Bridge analytics (Wormhole, LayerZero, Axelar)
Guide
Finding Information
Step 1: Identify All Deployments
List all chains where you have deployed contracts:
- Mainnet deployments only (testnets don't count)
- Contract addresses on each chain
- Block explorer links
Step 2: Verify Activity
For each chain, check:
- TVL > $10k (minimum to count as "active")
- Recent transactions (within last 30 days)
- User activity
Step 3: Check DeFiLlama
Visit your protocol page on DeFiLlama:
- Review chains listed
- Verify TVL on each chain
- Check for any missing chains
Step 4: Bridge Usage (If Single-Chain)
If deployed on only one chain:
- Check major bridges (Wormhole, LayerZero, Axelar)
- Calculate 30-day bridge volume related to your protocol
- Need >$50k/30d to qualify for score of 2
Submitting Evidence
When submitting cross-chain activity:
Chain List: All chains with active deployments
Contract Addresses: Address on each chain
Activity Proof: TVL or transaction data for each chain
DeFiLlama Link: Link to your protocol page
Bridge Usage (if applicable): Bridge volume data
